These plecos enjoy a variety of a meaty diet that may include shrimp, tilapia, bloodworms, and even shrimp or algae wafers. The vampire pleco prefers water parameters of 72 to 79 degrees f and high levels of oxygen. It has been recorded that these plecos can live up to 15 years!
